SaraBeth Post Eskuche (she/her) was born in Harrisburg, PA. She received a BFA in 3D Studios focusing in Glass from the University of Louisville in 2015. From 2019-2021, Post Eskuche participated in the Core Fellowship program at Penland School of Craft. Currently, she lives in Pittsburgh PA, operating the multi-disciplinary glass design brand Ultra Lit. Ultra Lit was a pen name coined in college as a reflection on her navigation in the world as a mixed race woman.
Her studies of pattern & color pave a path to explore human development juxtaposed to spirituality.
She has taught at The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass, Peters Valley School of Craft, Pittsburgh Glass Center and Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Art. For 3 years, SaraBeth was Communication Coordinator at Crafting the Future, a nonprofit organization working to increase creative enrichment by connecting artists of color with opportunities that will help them thrive.
Post Eskuche has exhibited at Penland Gallery (Penland, NC), Cressman Center for Visual Arts (Louisville, KY), Kentucky Museum of Art (Louisville, KY), WCU Bardo Fine Arts Museum (Cullowhee, NC), Bunker Projects (Pittsburgh, PA), Pittsburgh Glass Center (Pittsburgh, PA), and FOCI Minnesota Center for Glass Art (Minneapolis, MN).
Ultra Lit, multi-disciplinary glass design brand, offers handblown and engraved cups, plates, and decor for the home in addition to flameworked and coldworked glass jewelry. My home studio includes a small metalsmithing and flameworking setup and more recently a glass fusing/casting kiln! For hot glass, I am a renter at the Pittsburgh Glass Center and I utilize their cold shop as well. It’s a must visit if you’re ever in the city!

“My mission is a constant act to heal myself and others. I truly believe that when we are forced into uniforms or pushed to strive towards becoming something that doesn’t ring true with our inner voice, our personal identity and the light of our expression is ultimately dimmed. All that I create are moments reaching out to touch and brighten an internal lantern, a flame, the light within. The act of sharing my work in the world, sharing with those who view or wear my artwork, is a hope to remind you that your light is lit too, since from the day you are born. Now, I encourage you to take a chance, the road less traveled, travel the path that draws you in the most, and become Ultra Lit.” –SaraBeth Post Eskuche ❤
